THE 2021 ADVANCE LONGMONT ECONOMIC SUMMIT Paving a Path to a Bright Future: February 25th and 26th

Longmont, CO (February 9, 2021) – Longmont EDP and the Advance Longmont Partners are leading the way in paving a path to a bright and resilient future for Longmont’s local economy. The Advance Longmont Economic Summit, hosted by Longmont Economic Development Partnership, provides an opportunity for Longmont-area business and civic leaders from the public, private, nonprofit, and education sectors to learn, share, and engage in addressing the opportunities and challenges Longmont faces in pursuing a transformative economic development strategy that seeks to develop an inclusive economy, align the community around collective impact, and move the needle on the issues that matter most.

The two-day virtual event, presented in partnership with Xcel Energy, will feature keynote speakers Patty Silverstein, president and chief economist at Development Research Partners, and Iffie Jennings, founder of The Kindness Network. Breakout sessions will feature some of Longmont’s thought leaders and innovators from both the public and private sectors, including:

  • Chris Pearson, CEO of Roccor
  • Eric Wallace, Co-founder and CEO of Left Hand Brewing Company
  • Sally Dyer, vice president of operations at Novartis Gene Therapies
  • Lori Jones, president and CEO of Avocet Communications
  • Mat Wiggins, director of community and business development at St. Vrain Valley School District
  • Kimberlee McKee, executive director of the Longmont Downtown Development Authority
  • Sergio Angeles, CEO of Innovate Longmont
  • Phil Greenwald, transportation manager for the City of Longmont
