Quarters Bar + Arcade Awarded Advance Longmont Startup Grant

Grant assists new and expanding target industry businesses in Longmont

Longmont, CO: The Longmont Economic Development Partnership (EDP) awarded Quarters Bar + Arcade a $3,000 grant as part of the Advance Longmont Startup Grant to assist local startups that have been in business for less than two years.

Quarters Bar + Arcade, located at 475 Main Street in downtown Longmont, is a bar and arcade that features a self-serve- tap drink wall.

When asked how he will use the Advance Longmont Startup Grant funds, owners Luke and Emily Kunselman stated, “Receiving this grant was such a blessing to us! As you can imagine, the cost to start up our business was more expensive than we had projected. This grant money gave us some breathing room with paying down those expenses. We are so thankful to the LEDP for this grant money.”

The Advance Longmont Startup Grant is designed to support Longmont’s startup businesses in their launch efforts. Informed by the goals of both the Advance Longmont economic development strategy and Envision Longmont master plan, the Advance Longmont Startup Grant program provides funding to local startups that have been in business less than two years to assist with the cost of permitting and licensing, regulatory compliance, equipment purchases and other startup associated costs. This program reimburses eligible expenses, up to the preapproved grant amount, for projects that submit an application and meet all of the criteria of the grant program. Funded by the City of Longmont, the Advance Longmont Startup Grant awards up to $3,000 to startups that have launched or will launch in Longmont.
