Please join us as Longmont Mayor Dennis Coombs proclaims February 20th through February 24th as Longmont Innovation Week and recognizes key players in innovation in Longmont.  
Complimentary drink tickets will be available for the first 50 guests.

REAL LONGMONT INNOVATION TOUR
FEBRUARY 21st
Time:  8:30am - 3:00pm
Location:  Front Range Community College, Community Room, 2190 Miller Dr., Building C, Longmont

Want a behind-the-scenes look at Longmont's growing innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem to see how you can get more involved? Join us for our Real Longmont Innovation Tour. You'll see how our future entrepreneurs and workforce are being cultivated through our schools; witness innovation in the works at the TinkerMill, the largest makerspace in the Rocky Mountain region, and in existing Longmont businesses; and learn about the infrastructure that has created this vibrant, cutting-edge community that allows innovators to thrive. 

The bus tour will begin at Front Range Community College with registration and a continental breakfast in the Community Room (Building C), followed by a tour of the Advance Technology Center.  We will then take a tour of the TinkerMill and visit with the founders of Diabase Engineering, a local innovative startup in 3D printing.  The tour will continue at a primary industry business (TBA) and include lunch and a presentation by Next Light on making Longmont a Gigabit City.  The bus tour will conclude with a tour of St. Vrain Valley School District’s Innovation Center.  Following the tour, you are also invited to join the Longmont EDP staff and partners for happy hour at Oskar Blues Tasty Weasel Tap Room.

Transportation, breakfast, and lunch are included.

NEWTECH LONGMONT
FEBRUARY 22nd
Time:  6:00pm to 8:00pm 
Location:  Longmont Museum, 400 Quail Road, Longmont
New Tech is a community of 12,000 geeks who live and work in Colorado. They are the largest community run group in the state and host monthly events in Boulder, Denver, Fort Collins, Colorado Springs and Longmont.  Each month highlights a new tech topic.  

This month's NewTech Longmont will focus on Intelligent E-Commerce.  
 

MAYOR'S SUMMIT ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP
FEBRUARY 23rd
Time:  2:30pm - 5:00pm
Location:  The Wild Game, 22514 Ken Pratt Blvd., Longmont
Mayors from the northern Colorado and north metro Denver regions, along with regional stakeholders in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, are invited to join Longmont Mayor Dennis Coombs for a conversation about how entrepreneurs are supported in the region, where there are resource gaps, and what role each community’s leadership can have in filling those gaps for the region, rather than just their individual communities.  This event will help to build alignment and understanding around startups as a way for the future and increase the competitiveness of our region as a whole.

LONGMONT IGNITE PITCH EVENT
FEBRUARY 24th
Time:  4:00pm to 6:00pm
Location:  The Brew Creperie & Coffee, 314 Main Street, Longmont
Join in the fun and hear the applicants of Longmont Ignite pitch their business concepts to a panel of Longmont Ignite members in the hopes of being selected to receive up to a $5,000 Longmont Ignite grant to help them take their concept forward.  In addition to the grant money, the awardee will be connected to a wealth of resources to assist them in growing and developing their startup, along with a potential to receive a matching grant from the Longmont EDP.  Attendees, along with the panel, will have the opportunity to ask questions, offer feedback, and network during the cocktail hour.
