Annual Industry Update Released

Each year the Economic Council conducts retention surveys of it primary employers.  The survey usually elicits a response rate of 65% or better and this year was not different with 68%.  The surveys are conducted by volunteers form the business community, and Longmont is one of few EDO's tht use volunteers effectively for this purpose.  This year's survey reflected an improving trend for many companies as thier outlook for the next 3 years is above what we saw in last year's report.  Advanced Technology companies continue to provide the majority of primary jobs in Longmont.  You can see the full report at http://www.longmont.org/media/docs/PDF%20Files/EIREPT.pdf
