Programs & Events

The Economic Council holds several events each year in support of primary industry and our investors. The following is a description of each event and its date for 2010.  For more information contact: Donna Miller at 303-651-0128 or laec@longmont.org.

Investor Series Breakfast
March 11th and November 10th

The Economic Council holds two breakfasts during the year geared towards issues of concern to our investors.  The topic for the Spring breakfast is targeted toward a current local issue.  The second breakfast is an economic outlook forum featuring predictions about the economy in the coming year.  In addition to topics of interest to our investors, the Breakfast Series offers an opportunity for investors to share information about their business with the audience of business and community leaders.

Cornerstone Luncheon
April 21st

The Cornerstone Awards Luncheon is designed to recognize primary employers in the Longmont area that have expanded or relocated to the area during the previous year.  Over 200 business and government leaders from the community attend this event.

Community Appreciation Luncheon

The Community Appreciation Luncheon is designed to honor primary employers that have demonstrated support for the community through their donations to the charitable organizations that improve the quality of life for Longmont area residents or employee - community programs.  Over 200 business leaders attend this event each year.

Real Estate Showcase
September 29, 2010

The Longmont Area Economic Council hosts an annual real estate event of commercial real estate brokers in an effort to showcase development opportunities in the Longmont area.  Our seventh showcase in 2009 was a huge success with 70 brokers from metro Denver, Boulder, and northern Colorado in attendance.  The event highlights properties available for development or lease, City government perspectives, development policies in the community and a tour of the area.  Click here for the 2010 event.
