JESSICA ERICKSON, CEcD
Prior to joining the Economic Council Jessica Erickson was the Senior Industry Development Manager for the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade focusing on retention, expansion and recruitment of businesses specializing in Advanced Manufacturing, Infrastructure Engineering, Electronics, Financial Services, and Technology & Information.
Prior to joining OEDIT, Jessica served as the Manager of Business Retention & Expansion and Interim Director of Economic Development for the City of Thornton Office of Economic Development. There she focused on the retention and expansion of the city’s existing primary employer base and spearheaded redevelopment efforts in a 600-acre Urban Renewal Area. Prior to the City of Thornton, Jessica worked in the City & County of Broomfield as the President & CEO of the Broomfield Economic Development Corporation. She has also served on the Board of Directors of the Economic Development Council of Colorado since 2008 and currently serves on the Board of Colorado Lending Source.
Jessica received a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. She is also a graduate of the Oklahoma University Economic Development Institute and is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD).
WENDI NAFZIGER, CED
Vice President & Director of Primary Industry Development
Wendi Nafziger is a Certified Economic Developer (CED) that has worked in the development field for 30 plus years. Wendi graduated from Skyline High School in Longmont and participated in the Career Development Center’s Business Program throughout high school. She completed her basic economic development course in 1995. Wendi joined the Longmont Area Economic Council in 1982 as administrative assistant and was promoted to Vice President in 1995. She was the 2001 president of the Boulder County Business Hall of Fame, is a member and treasurer of the Longmont Twin Peaks Rotary, a former board member and Treasurer of Safe Shelter of St. Vrain Valley, a former board member and treasurer of the Economic Development Council of Colorado and a member of the International Economic Development Council.
In 1997 Wendi was recognized as Business Partner of the Year by the St. Vrain Valley School District, was given the 2001 Affiliate of the Year by the Longmont Association of Realtors, and was Citizen of the Year in 2005. In 2005 Wendi was presented with the "Women of Distinction Award" by the Girl Scouts; and in 2009 she received the "LeMoyne Monson 4 Way Test Award" from Twin Peaks Rotary. Most recently she was awarded "Economic Development Achievement Award" by the Economic Development Council of Colorado.
JANINE LEDINGHAM, MBA
Director of Local Business & Startup Community Development
Janine Ledingham is a native of Colorado and has over 10+ years experience consulting and working with Small Businesses in Boulder County and along the Western Slope through the Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) in Boulder County and Grand Junction. Prior to joining the Longmont Area Economic Council she worked as the Associate Director of the Boulder Small Business Development Center managing the core consulting program, working as the lead consultant with the Small Business Economic Gardening Program (LEGI) in Longmont and as the Program Lead for Disaster Recovery. On the Western Slope, she taught the NextLevel Leading Edge classes, worked with Incubator businesses and worked as an independent consultant for the SBDC Board and small business community. She also spent many years in Corporate Strategy and Product Management in the Telecom industry working for a Fortune 500 company and for small telecom companies. Janine has an MBA from CU Leeds School of Business and a BA in History/Concentration in Geology from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX. Her outside passions include running, hiking, skiing, playing tennis, traveling and generally enjoying the beautiful Colorado outdoors.
Marketing Specialist & Event Coordinator
Dana Schnieber comes from a background of event planning and marketing in the restaurant and hospitality industry. With an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and a family history in food service, Dana has always had a passion for the food and beverage industry. She worked for many years at high-end restaurants in Denver, such as The Capital Grille and TAG, before working as a Wedding Sales Manager at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, where she currently lives. She briefly worked as a Sales & Logistics Coordinator for Haystack Mountain Goat Dairy while starting her own side business, DN Weddings, as a wedding coordinator. She began working for the Longmont EDP in 2015, and has completed the IEDC's Basic Economic Development Course.
Outside of work, her interests include: anything artistic or creative, cooking, hiking, travelling, sports (especially Husker football), and event planning. She makes it a goal to smile and bring happiness to the forefront in everything she does.
